Um, I'm probably not going to finish my entry for MasamuneRevolution's 
Gintama entry (in the Takasugi category). [link]
Therefore, I painted this today *fails* It was fun, but I know it's not that great
Um, Takasugi is probably my fave Gintama character (Kamui is awesome too)...Why do I always love the villains
This was made with some stale tempera paints. I used only red and black for most of it, but I did use white as well. (Dang, I haven't painted in forever...) I cropped it somewhat and added a simple border with whatever program my computer uses when scanning. Does the color look ok? It looks fine on my computer, but what works on my comp doesn't always work for others...
I almost definitely will not win, but I wanted to enter anyways
I will try to finish my other entry, but it's probably not very good either.

You chose red and black wisely; the painting looks fantastic! Combined with the wondrous color scheme, the soft texture gives off an ominous feeling. This effect is further enhanced by Takasugi's stare and noticeable smirk, along with the fact that you decided to go with a close-up of his profile. Generally pleasant to look at, though Takasugi probably wouldn't appreciate it.
